Anne Goldthwaite (Born Montgomery, Alabama 1869, died New York 1944)

Painter and etcher. Studied in New York at the National Academy of Design and in Paris with Charles Guérin. She established herself principally as a recorder of the South's past. Art work in many collections: Fine Arts Museum of San Fransisco, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Cleveland Museum of Art, Portland Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art and many others.
